10 Days Program


Day 1
Arrival in Ben Gurion airport, Tel Aviv where you will be greeted by our guide. Transfer to the hotel in Haifa.

Day 2
Drive to Mt. Carmel, visit Carmelites’ monastery, Stella Maris Church. It was Mt. Carmel that Prophet Elias chose for gathering together all the people with the prophets of Baal to prove who the True God is. Proceed to the Hanging Gardens of Haifa, also known as the Terraces of Bahai Faith. These garden terraces form the Shrine of the Báb on Mount Carmel. Described as the Eighth Wonder of the World, they are one of the most visited tourist attractions in the country.
Then on to Rosh Ha Nikra, a geologic formation on the beach of Upper Galilee, a white chalk cliff face which opens up into spectacular grottos on the beach of Upper Galilee. Take a ride on the cable car to see the grottos and enjoy the unforgettable views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Continue to Acre (Acco) – explore the city at night time. Because of its strategic coastal location Acre was regarded as the key to the Levant from ancient times.

Day 3
A free day.

Day 4
We will take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee from Tiberias to Capernaum. See the ruins of the ancient synagogue, where Jesus did most of his Ministry. Then on to Tabga, where the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish took place. Proceed to the Mt. of Beatitudes, Church of St. Peter’s Primacy. Following we make a visit to Cana, site of the first miracle of Jesus. Renew our baptismal vows at Yardenit, the traditional baptismal site on the river Jordan.

Day 5
Drive to Caesarea Maritima, a city and harbor built by Herod the Great about XXV – XIII BC. Today, its ruins lie on the Mediterranean coast of Israel about halfway between the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa. It here that Apostle Peter baptized Cornelius the Centurion and following it established there a church.
Continue to Joppa (Jaffa), an ancient port city, which is believed to be one of the oldest in the world. The Bible says that St. Peters’ resurrection of the widow Tabitha takes place in Joppa.
Walk the streets of Joppa and visit the Diamond Market in Tel Aviv.
Continue to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 6
Enjoy splendid panorama of the Golden City of Jerusalem in the early morning hours from Mt. of Olives. Visit the Chapel of Ascension, Pater Noster (Our Father) church, Dominus Flevitt (the Lord Wept) church. Continue to Gethsemane, see the church of All Nations. From here we see the Golden Gate, through which Jesus entered the city on Palm Sunday. Visit Virgin Mary Tomb.
Drive to Bethlehem and visit the Nativity Church, Chapel of the Innocents, Church of St. Katherine, and the Manger Square. See the Milk Grotto, where, according to tradition, the Holy Family took refuge during the Slaughter of the Innocents, before their flight into Egypt. Tradition has it that while Mary was nursing Jesus there, a drop of her divine milk fell to the ground, turning it white. Continue to the Shepherds’ Fields, identified with the shepherds who saw the star of Nativity.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7
Begin the day with a walk in the Old City of Jerusalem. Among others today we shall see the Holy Sepulcher, the Western Wall, the Dome of the Rock, “Ecce Homo” Arch, Pilate’s Judgment Hall, Chapel of the Flagellation, St. Anne’s Church and Bethesda.
In the afternoon we head to Ein Kerem (Spring of the Vineyard), according to tradition, the place of birth of John the Baptist. There are two churches by his name in the place. See the Church of the Visitation, built on the place where the pregnant Mary visited her pregnant cousin Elizabeth and stayed for three months.

Day 8
Drive via the Judean desert to the world’s oldest inhabited city of Jericho. Visit the monastery of St. Gerasimos the Jordanite. Observe the monastery of St. George the Hozebite, a magnificent edifice perched halfway up the cliff in Wadi Qilt. Continue and view Mt. Temptation, where Jesus was led after His baptism in the Jordan river. There Jesus fasted for forty days and nights before being tempted three times by the Satan. At the peak is a Greek Orthodox Monastery built on the ruins of a Byzantine church. Its foundations contain the cave in which Jesus stayed for forty days.
Enjoy the fresh waters of Elisha’s spring, which the prophet purified and made sweet. Visit the remains of Hisham’s Palace, an excellent example of Islamic art and architecture.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9
Day at the Dead Sea: have a “float” in its highly concentrated waters. Try the sulphur pool, enjoy the mud ‘head-to-toe’ application. The Dead Sea is located in a dry and oxygen abounding area, where high temperature and low humidity remain throughout the entire year. An additional 400 meter atmospheric layer filters out the hazardous sunrays.

Day 10
Transfer to Ben Gurion airport for departure home.
